Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Ivy Computer Inc DBA Trash Flow ("we," "us," or "our") operates www.TrashFlow.com (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit our website, how we use it, and the choices available to you. We do not collect information that directly identifies you through the analytics tools described below, such as your name, email address, phone number, or physical address. Separately, if you submit a demo request or use our live chat feature, we do collect information you choose to provide directly; (see Section 2.1 below). This policy explains the limited data we collect passively, which is not tied to your name or other identifying details, and why. This Privacy Policy addresses our data collection and privacy practices only. For the terms governing your use of our software, see our End User License Agreement (EULA)

2. Information We Collect

We use third-party tools to understand how visitors use our website, improve the Service, and display embedded content: Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and embedded YouTube videos. None of these is configured to collect your name, email address, account credentials, payment information, or other information that directly identifies you. The categories of data collected are:

• Google Analytics 4 (GA4) – pages viewed, time on page, navigation paths, device category, operating system, browser type, approximate geographic location (country/region/city level), and referral source. By default, GA4 does not store your IP address; it is used briefly to estimate general location and then discarded rather than logged.
• Microsoft Clarity – a random ID (via cookie) that connects your page views into a single session, plus mouse movements, clicks, scroll behavior, and pages visited. Clarity automatically masks sensitive fields (such as password and payment forms) and does not use fingerprinting to identify individual users. Clarity's identifiers are not directly tied to your name or contact information, though some jurisdictions still classify this type of data as "personal information."
• Embedded YouTube videos – provided by Google LLC. When a page containing an embedded video loads, YouTube sets cookies and collects data such as your IP address, device/browser information, and viewing activity, even before you press play. Some of this data is associated with advertising and cross-service profiling by Google; we treat it consistent with the CCPA "sharing" discussion in Section 3 and the opt-out information in Section 5.1.

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

Unlike the analytics tools described above, our demo request form and live chat feature do collect information that directly identifies you, because you choose to provide it. This includes:

• Demo requests – the name, work email address, company name, and any other information you submit through our demo request form. This information is sent directly to our internal team by email to schedule and prepare for your demo; it is not shared with a third-party CRM or marketing platform.
• Live chat –any information you share during a chat session (such as your name, email address, or the content of your message), along with technical details our chat software collects automatically, including your IP address, browser and operating system, and referring page. Our live chat is self-hosted on our own servers; chat transcripts are not shared with or processed by an external chat vendor.

We use this information solely to respond to your inquiry, schedule and conduct your demo, and provide customer support. We do not use this information for advertising, and we do not sell or share it with third parties.
All three tools use cookies or similar technologies to enable the functionality described above. See Section 5 for cookie management options.

3. Important Note on "Personal Information" Under Applicable Law

While we do not collect information that directly identifies you (such as your name or email address) through Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, or embedded YouTube videos, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) defines "personal information" more broadly to include cookie IDs, device data, and behavioral data that are not directly tied to your name, and that could be used, in combination with other information, to distinguish or recognize an individual.
For that reason, we treat the data described in Section 2 as personal information for CCPA compliance purposes, even though it does not include your name, email, or other directly identifying details.

4. How We Use This Information

We use the data described above solely to:

• Understand how visitors use our website
• Identify and fix usability issues
• Measure the effectiveness of our content and features
• Improve the overall performance and design of the Service

We do not use Google Analytics or Microsoft Clarity data for targeted advertising, and we do not sell this data. However, our embedded YouTube videos set cookies that Google may use for cross-context behavioral advertising across its own services. Under the CCPA, this may constitute "sharing" of personal information, even though no money changes hands. See Section 5.1 for how to exercise your CCPA rights related to this activity.

5. Your Choices:

5.1 Opt-Out

• You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using Google's Browser Add-on
• You can disable cookies generally through your browser settings, which will prevent GA4, Clarity, and YouTube from setting identifiers on your device.
• California residents: Under the CCPA, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and to opt out of its "sale" or "sharing" as those terms are defined by the statute. We do not sell your personal information for money. However, our use of embedded YouTube videos may constitute "sharing" under the CCPA's broader definition, since Google may use associated cookies for cross-context behavioral advertising. To opt out of this sharing, you can decline non-essential cookies through your browser settings or contact us using the information in Section 9.

5.2 Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. Our website does not currently respond to DNT signals, as no common industry standard for DNT has been adopted. You can still control tracking through the cookie and opt-out options described in Section 5.1.

5.3 Your California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident and have submitted information through our demo request form or live chat, you have the right under the CCPA to request that we (1) disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, (2) delete personal information we have collected about you, and (3) correct inaccurate personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us using the information in Section 9. We will verify your identity before responding to your request.

6. Data Retention

• Google Analytics 4: We retain user and event data for 14 months.
• Microsoft Clarity: Session recordings are retained for 30 days; labeled/favorited sessions and heatmap data are retained for approximately 9 months.
• Demo requests and live chat: : Logs are kept for 90 days after which this information is deleted from our systems unless retained longer for legitimate business or legal purposes.

7. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not directed to children under 13 (or 16, where applicable under GDPR), and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a revised "Last Updated" date.
